A Study on Gambling Addiction Factors of University/College Students: Based on Mediating Effect of Gambling Motivation, Self-Efficacy, and Self-Regulation

Abstract
The social welfare intervention method for increasing problems of the gambling addiction had been investigated to analyze the causality among the gambling addiction factors with 286 university/college students in Daegu-Gyeongbuk region. In this study, the following results were obtained. Firstly, the emotion factor had produced the direct effect on the gambling motive, and the direct/indirect effect on the self-efficacy and the gambling addiction. Secondly, the home life satisfaction had produced the direct effect on the self-efficacy and the self-regulation, and the indirect effect on the gambling addiction. Thirdly, the gambling accessability had produced the direct effect on the gambling motivation, and the indirect effect on the self-efficacy and the gambling addiction. Fourthly, the gambling motivation had produced the direct effect on the self-efficacy, and the direct/indirect effect on the gambling addiction. Fifthly, the self-efficacy and the self-regulation had produced the direct effect on the gambling addiction.
